Open to all High School and College students, apply to be part of the court-watching internship!

What does the internship entail?

  • In person at the San Jose Hall of Justice.

  • High school and college students receive the opportunity to monitor court proceedings to ensure judges and prosecutors act fairly and consider public safety when handling cases. Interns receive the opportunity to be at the forefront of justice and gather data on the outcome in courtrooms to ensure transparency and fairness.

  • Interns commit to watching and evaluating court sessions each month. Justice For All will provide interns with all the resources needed, for example the Court Watch Calendar.

  • For young students interested in law, this is the perfect opportunity to boost your resume and earn volunteer hours relating to the legal field. Interns will be in at the forefront of change and learn how a court session works. Interns will also have the opportunity to gain valuable connections with judges, professors, and attorneys.

2. Apply to be create a Justice For All Chapter!

Not from the Bay Area but still interested in Justice For All’s mission! Apply to create a Justice For All Chapter in your local community! As a chapter president, you will be responsible for leading a student cohort, hosting court-watching sessions, court tours, onboarding meetings, and more! You will also build connections with professionals, judges and public defenders. Chapter Presidents also must remain in constant contact and provide check-ins with the national team!
